30 Days of Home ( Diane’s week 1 recap)

30 days of Home is a new project Kim and I are trying. It is all about using photos to tell your right-now story. If you like what you see and want to join in, all the information can be found here: http://www.littlepaperprojects.com/join-us-for-a-free-30-day-photo-challenge-30daysofhome/

Diane’s recap of week 1

This is what my bed actually looks like when I wake up. The other side looks like no one sleeps in it because my husband feels like he needs to make his side while I am still sleeping. He claims to do this because he sits on his side to put his shoes on.

I’m one of those people who rolls out of bed ready for breakfast. Cereal is my usual go to meal and Lucky Charms is my preferred cereal. So bad but so good.

Although I roll out of bed and am ready for breakfast, I do not roll out of breakfast ready for a shower and clothes. I like to get some stuff done first. Tidy up the house, check emails and my chore list for the day, have a cup of coffee, maybe text a friend. I find that I get more accomplished when everyone else is out of the house so why waste that time in the shower. I’m usually dressed sometime around noon because that’s when I get hungry for lunch and look at the clock and am horrified that I am still in pajamas.

Kitchens. I know they are probably the most important part of a house but they are my least favorite rooms. I hate to cook, wash dishes, or even congregate in there. The one thing I am completely in charge of in the kitchen is any information that goes on the fridge. Now that my kids are almost adults, the fridge mainly houses a few leftover magnets. These are my kitchen contributions along with me not cooking.

See, I do eventually shower.

If I need to just sit and chill and rest, I can almost always be found with coffee and popcorn as my companions. This is my Sunday football popcorn watching bowl and my pop corn is made the old-fashioned way, in a pot on the stove. I can’t stand the smell of microwave popcorn. It lingers in the house for days. Hey, this is another kitchen contribution! Go me!

You’ll have to wait for next week’s recap to see day 7. I haven’t done it yet and being 11:58 am already, I better go hit that shower.
