Sunset on the Hudson

Thank you Photo Friday voters for picking my photo as one of your “Noteworthy” shotsIMG_5920

Photo Friday Theme – City

We headed into the city to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. On the drive in, I captured this shot of the Trump towers with the beautiful colors from the sun setting showing it’s reflection on the buildings and sky.

Photo Friday Theme – Weather

This photo was taken the morning after a snowstorm. It’s my one of my favorite days in winter when we have new snow and then a bright and sunny day. The morning light really showcases the snow-covered branches.

Preparing for more snow in a few days… hopefully will get another morning like this one! – Kim

Blurred Lines

BLUR

On a recent stay in a hotel, I walked by the pool and became fascinated with the way the surface of the water looked. I took this shot because I liked how the water distorted the lines of the steps. – Diane

Warms the Soul

WARMTH

The first thing that popped into my mind for this theme was my mug and its sweater.  My second thought was to capture some steam rising from the cup like I see in so many Pinterest photos. Now that I have the coffee and the cookies I just need a great book and a comfy chair to recline in. So relaxing and good for the soul. – Diane

Aunt Judy

A beautiful moment of my Aunt Judy with her grandson.

She and my Uncle were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

A very special day!

Theme – Simplicity by Kim O’Neill

“To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating;

to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter. . .

to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring

– these are some of the rewards of the simple life.”
